Welcome home! Staying at my studio means being in the beating heart of a city made of contrasts: the blinding blue of the sea, the golden ancient limestone, and the scent of salt air drifting through the historic alleys.
I don’t want to give you just a list of monuments, but rather suggest the experiences I love the most—the ones that will make your heart skip a beat and make you feel part of our island, even if only for a few days.
The Sunset Ritual at the Bastion: There is no better way to start your evening. Head up to the terrace of Bastion Saint Remy: the view over the harbor and the city rooftops as the sky turns pink is a sight that never gets old.
Get Lost in the Alleys of Castello: Put the map away. Wander through the medieval walls, discover artisan workshops, and stop in Piazzetta San Giacomo for a glass of chilled Vermentino. This is where the ancient soul of the city truly lives.
A Dip at Poetto Beach: Hop on the bus (lines PF or PQ) and in 10 minutes you’ll be at the beach. My advice? Go early in the morning when the water is crystal still, and enjoy breakfast with your toes in the sand at one of the many "baretti" (beach bars).
Flamingos at Molentargius Park: It’s incredible to think that pink flamingos live and nest just a few steps away from the city buzz. If you love nature, rent a bike and ride through the salt pan trails: peace is guaranteed.
San Benedetto Market: To discover the true Sardinian essence, head to the market. It’s an explosion of colors and flavors. Stop by the fish stalls to see the catch of the day or taste freshly baked pardulas (traditional ricotta cakes).
Dinner in the Marina District: To end your day, walk down toward the harbor in the Marina district. Between the scent of fried calamari and the lively chatter at the outdoor tables, you’ll find the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable dinner of seafood fregula.
My Secret Tip: Take a hike up the Devil’s Saddle (Sella del Diavolo) in the morning. The climb is short and not too difficult, but once you reach the top, facing the vastness of the Gulf of the Angels, you’ll understand why we call this the "Treasure Island."
Reaching our studio in the heart of Cagliari is very easy, no matter how you travel.
✈️ From Cagliari-Elmas Airport (CAG):
By Train (Recommended): The fastest and cheapest way. The station is inside the airport. Trains run every 20 minutes and reach the central station in just 10 minutes. (Cost: approx. €1.30).
By Taxi: You’ll find them right outside Arrivals. The trip takes about 10-15 minutes.
🚢 From the Port of Cagliari:
The port is located right in front of Via Roma, just a short walk or bus ride from the studio.
🚗 By Car:
Cagliari is well-connected to the rest of Sardinia via the SS131 highway.
Parking: Our area is central. I recommend looking for parking in the neighboring streets or using one of the nearby multi-story parking garages for maximum convenience.
